New York Fashion Week has become a tradition!

Twice a year, the Big Apple calls for the upcoming fashion trends, and this time I will capture them with my Olympus PEN E-PL9.
I have worked with my PEN for almost two years now and I can recommend it with all my conviction. Olympus has accompanied me on several amazing trips where I was able to learn, experience, capture special moments. The camera is easy to use and perfect for taking shots on the go. In addition, it is small and light, and gives all of my outfits that ultimate stylish touch.

Sunday:

NYFW here I come! Usually, the first day is about collecting outfits at various designers or having fittings before the shows start. However, this time the plans changed! Besides shows and events, our main goal was to create new look books and creative content for brand partnerships. Which means waking up at 5 a.m. and being powerful and creative until midnight.

Monday:

Planning is half of the game – before going to New York, my agent and I already created a time schedule for an effective workflow. My experience from recent years taught me that there is always too little time for shootings. And because we all know that content is king, I blocked extra time for content creation.
But before shooting look books, the first appointment of the day is calling. I am at Spring Studios for the first presentation of a trendsetting designer; the location is phenomenal and its atmosphere adds to the collection and the vibe.

Tuesday:

One of my highlights is the Diesel event. The brand always presents special designs and the event itself has a unique vibe I really like. But getting there in time isn’t that easy. You basically can’t say New York without thinking traffic jam! Even if it is nerve-wracking, I love the busy dynamic and hecticness, especially during NYFW. After an exciting day full of events, shootings, and traffic, I fell asleep at 11p.m.

Wednesday:

Today’s motto–being extra powerful for the last day! Two appointments in the morning, one fashion show at noon, and afterwards, it is time to be productive. Being creative in the streets of New York make me think outside the box, and I especially like getting creative with my Olympus PEN.

Thursday:

It’s time to go home! We are sitting in one of our favourite cafés for one last time, looking through our created content and reviewing the last days. It’s clear - we love this city and it makes us extra creative, even if it means a lot of positive stress. NYFW with my Olympus PEN was a gorgeous adventure again!
